NEW YORK, Jan 4 (Reuters) - U.S. money market fund assets decreased by $22.48 billion to $2.65 trillion in the week ended Jan. 3, the Money Fund Report said on Wednesday.

Taxable money market fund assets decreased by $23.34 billion to $2.36 trillion, while tax-free assets were up $857 million to $290.77 billion, according to the report, published by iMoneyNet.

Yields on taxable money market funds remained at 0.02 percent, according to the report.
